Possibly inspired by the Gabriel Garcia Marquez short story "The Most Beautiful Drowned Man in the World."
Written first thing in the morning while lying in bed.

The most beautiful roadkill in the world:
Jackson Pollock would have shed a tear of joy
to see the spleen splattered so splendidly,
intestines entwined so tastefully,
discovered by the little Parsons boy.

The most beautiful roadkill ever seen:
A sensation that took the world by storm.
With perfect composition
(both artistic and organic)
Though, in truth some of the townsfolk found it
a little bit Satanic...

They say old Mr. Hancock fell dead at the sight
(though he hadn't taken his medication,
and his heart just wasn't right).
Oh, as people heard for miles around,
on pilgrimage they'd go,
and backed up traffic all the way to New Mexico.

They covered the asphalt in shellac
and cut it out, and shipped it to the Louvre.
Now, it hang for crowds of millions, eighth wonder of the world,
a joy to every boy and girl.
